Endangered Rhino killed, Hunter says “To Raise Awareness”

Do you remember back in the day going to Glady’s Porter Zoo and being able to actually enjoy going to the zoo? We had elephants and of course the tanks of the africa, the Rhinos, hell we even used to have a damn Polar Bear even in the middle of summer and penguins and seals.  Unfortunately because of globalization and global warming all these animals are going extinct. We read a story on Yahoo, CNN and other news sites about a hunter named Corey Knowlton who paid $350,000 USD to kill an endangered black rhinoceros. According to him, he is doing everyone a favor and raising awareness.  It’s kind of sad really, the world we live in to kill animals just for the sake of it.  The country of Namibia has mentioned, that the only reason they have allowed this to happen and actually gave the man a license to shoot the Rhino is that the animal is too old to breed and it poses a threat to younger breeding male rhinos.  We are not zoologists or an expert on animal behavior but why not let the rhino live its last few days in the wild? $350,000 dollars could of been used to hire a team of people and bring that Rhino to our zoo and we could of enjoyed seeing it in person.
