National Hamburger Day

Not sure if any of you know that today is National Hamburger Day. Hamburger Day happens to be celebrated each year on May 28th as part of National Hamburger Month.  This day is set aside to honor a classic sandwich, the hamburger.  It is more than likely the hamburger first came out sometime around the 1800’s or early 1900’s and there is much controversy on where it may have  originated from.  The true origin might not ever be identified with certainty.  Over the years, the hamburger has become a culinary icon in the United States and in Mexico even.  Burgers are quick and easy to make but of course many people have found creative ways to make the hamburger in so many different ways.  The world’s most expensive hamburger (Glamburger) is about $1768 Dollars served in London is served with lobster, beluga caviar, venison, a duck egg and an edible gold leaf, we probably wouldn’t ever pay this and settle for a $7 Whataburger classic.
