When is the last time you remember eating a Big Mac at McDonald’s? Many years ago I fell in love with the Big Mac. That oddly shaped bun in the middle, between the two patties and that special secret mcdonalds big mac sauce. Back then, you could get this burger at a very low cost about under $2.00 and even sometimes I remember at the Mcdonald’s by where I used to live by Walmart & South Padre Island Highway, you could find a special for Big Mac Wednesday’s which included fries and a drink for 3 bucks. But since I no longer live there and there is no Big Mac Special’s in Houston then eating a Big Mac is out of my budget. The price of a big mac by itself is about $4 dollars, which probably seems a bit over priced, so what do you do so you can enjoy this same hamburger and spend only $1.50? You order a Poor man’s Big Mac. All you have to do is order a McDouble from the value menu which is like $1.25 and tell them no ketchup, no mustard, add lettuce (may cost extra) and the most important ingredient, the special McDonald’s sauce and voila, you have a Big Mac, or rather a burger that tastes pretty much the same as Big Mac without the weird bun in the middle and one less slice of cheese which is good on the calories. You can order small fries for $1 and tell them you want a cup of water, they don’t care what you do with it, so you can just serve yourself some sprite and for $2.25 – $2.50 you got a value meal !
