The Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is the last ancient wonder of the world that still stands till this day and it seems like it has been around for the longest time.  It was built over 4000 years ago around 2580 B.C. The other ancient wonders were destroyed by natural disasters or destroyed by man in acts of war.  The pyramids themselves are basically giant tombs for the pharaohs that lived in those times, most importantly King Khufu who was the king that wanted them in the first place.  The pyramids are considered not only a technological wonder but also a great mystery.   Engineers speculate that these pyramids if reconstructed would take mass amount of resources and are really unsure how the ancient Egyptians were able to construct them since the stones used average between 2.5 tons – 15 tons.  Imagine to be able to move this amount of weight without modern machinery like heavy duty fork lifts or cranes and even helicopters it seems like an impossible task but they were able to accomplish it by pretty much a shit load of man power, approximately 20 years to complete.  It is estimated that over 100,000 slaves were needed in the construction of these behemoth structures which leads us to the next question.

If slaves were used to build these pyramids and if American’s have made a big deal about the confederate flag representing racism and slavery, should this last ancient wonder be destroyed?  The Egyptians were not the only ancient civilization to use slaves, the Incas from South America (Peru) used slaves to build Machu Pichu and the Mezo American Civilizations such as the Aztecs and Mayas used many slaves to build their pyramids, should they also be destroyed? Should the US Mint stop producing quarters and $1 bills with George Washington? He owned many slaves and thus, why do we have this? This shit about the confederate flag is getting out of hand and it needs to stop.  I am for the Confederate Flag to be used in the Southern States since it’s just a damn flag.  If people are truly appalled by a flag, they need to stop being pussies (pardon my french) and go back to school and find out what the confederate flag really means and it has nothing to do with racism.
