Weight loss toe rings, help you lose weight!!!

Typically each morning when I’m at work, I get on Facebook to kill time. I like to keep in touch with friends and family and find out what everyone is up to but on occasion they are feeds on my wall for La Pulga Online. Sometimes a lot of useless stuff get’s posted on there that I never bother otherwise i’ll get an unlimited amount of alerts but today I saw a person selling this weight loss product that appears to be some sort of silicone toe ring which they claim can help you lose weight.

So does this product work? most importantly, how does it work?  Well according to the official website the magnets help circulate the iron in your blood and help you in losing weight.  I asked Dr. Alex Colunga who will be contributing to medicine for this page in the next upcoming week if these products actually work?  His direct answer “Well, my take is that the magnets attach themselves to your bed frame and prevent you from getting food from the refrigerator and in essence help you lose weight, but no they don’t work at all just like those bracelets that came out a few years ago that made you believe that by balancing ions in your body you can restore your balance and energy.”

Speaking of which, those bracelets that he mentioned I remember turned out to be a big scam. The guys that came up with these things did their marketing homework and made people believe by paying $25 dollars for a silicone bracelet and a shiny thing in the middle, you would have better balance and who knows what else. I remember going to the actual Pulga (fleamarket 77) and passing by a booth where this lady was selling these bracelets. She did some sort of special demonstration that almost tricked me into buying one but I was still very skeptical about, she did manage to dupe my wife and had her buy two of them for $30 dollars.  I went home that day and saw videos on Youtube showing what these demonstrators do to make you believe that these things work, so the next week I went back to the Pulga and told that person “You suckered my wife into buying these things that you claim that work, but they don’t really do anything” so I took out a quarter and said “This quarter also has special powers” and basically did the same demonstration to her. After she knew that I knew that she was scamming people, she kind of got pissed and told me to leave which I shouted out loud “Quiere engañar la gente, no se deje”, everyone turned around while I was making a scene which was funny but I wanted to make a point across. I really hate people that scam others and this magical toe ring that helps in “weight loss” is just another scam of many out there.  If you really believe that a thing wrapped around your toe is going to help you losing weight, well I hate to break the ice and be the bad guy.
