It was my first year in college and I remember being in the computer lab chilling waiting to go to my 2nd class.  I was in a chat room for a computer game I played when I see a few people type “HOLY FUCKING SHITTTT” and one of my online friends says “CLAW DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON IN NEW YORK” , claw being my online gaming name.  Of course I had no idea what was going on but I started feeling goosebumps as everyone was in the chat room talking about one of the World Trade Center towers getting hit by a jumbo jet.  15 minutes later “HOLY FUCKING SHITTTTTTTTTTTT ANOTHER PLANE HIT” some more people start commenting on the chat room.  At this point, there was some super strange feeling in the air, it was hard to explain but I didn’t know if these people on the internet were just joking around with me or if something was actually happening.  I got up from the computer and joined other people turning on the television and tuning into the news channel.  “America under attack” lead the caption of the news, and seeing both World Trade Center towers burning was a surreal feeling.   It was hard to believe, not knowing what to do as the country is under a terrorist attack.  Shortly afterwards the news station says “Plane crashes into the Pentagon”,  it was crazy, just like out of a Hollywood movie but it was actually happening.  At this point I went home and couldn’t make any phone calls as all the lines were out of service.  I tuned into the television at home and the news station was talking about how the oil refineries in Houston were next in being attacked, I didn’t know exactly what to do.  Then the first trade center (South Tower) collapses, it was unbelievable, I started feeling fear, 30 minutes later the second trade center building (North Tower) collapsed, my heart was beating so fast that I felt it was going to stop.  President Bush came on the television and made a huge announcement declaring war on terror, this day forever changed my life.

Saddam, Bin Laden, Al Gaddafi

I often wonder what life would be like if this tragedy never happened.  Saddam would probably be still in power, while he was ruthless dictator you didn’t have all these insurgents under his reign.  Osama Bin Laden would probably be still alive hiding under some rocks in the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan plotting his next move. Muammar Gaddafi would still be alive in Libya.We probably wouldn’t have the mass migration from Syria to Europe and overall the Middle East may have remained stable.  No hearing of ISIS beheading Christians and other innocent people.  I can only imagine though and keep asking “what if”.

Some say the events of 9/11 is a huge giant conspiracy. That there was no way those buildings would of collapsed the way they did and that everything was just a plot to go to war in the middle east. They say there is a hidden society of a few elite people that control the government, who is in power, and who the United States goes to war with. It’s hard to say whether all that is true or not but let’s just say that it is, that is pretty fucked up.
