Nationals Win Game 6

In the 1st inning, the Nationals struck since they batted first with Trea Turner scoring from a single off Anthony Rendon.  In the bottom of the 1st inning George Springer hit a deep ball and made it to 2nd base,  Altuve was next to bat and a wild pitch allowed Springer to steal base to 3rd,  Altuve sacrifed a fly deep to left field but allowed Springer to score to be able to tie the game at 1-1.  Next to bad was Bregman who scored a single home run 2-1 (astros).  In the top of the 2nd, Anthony Rendon caused Justin Verlander some problems as he was hitting everything, it took about 12 pitches to eventually walk him out, this caused him to throw over 50+ pitches by that inning.

In the 5th inning,  Adam Eaton and Juan Soto scored single homeruns to put the Nationals up by one,  they took advantage of Verlander appearing to be worn out and sure enough was taken out.  A controversial play was called in the top of the 7th when Trea Turner hit a base hit and while running towards 1st base, impeded the catch by the 1st baseman (Yuli Gurriel) and was called out.  To get redemption Anthony Rendon hit a homerun to get two runs in, making it 5-2.

In the 9th inning,  Nationals added two more runs by Anthony Rendon who doubled and allowed Adam Eaton scores and Trea Turner.   Hopefully the Astros can close it out tomorrow !!!
