It’s one thing to run for mayor in Raymondville, then another thing to run for Sheriff for Willacy County, but now Vanessa Tijerina is considering running for State Senate, and as a Republican.  Well it looks like somebody fed a couple of ideas to Vanessa to run for State Senate and since they’re currently no known candidates in the Republican Party, she figured 🤔 “Oh yeah !!!, lets do it”  

Eddie Lucio Jr, current State Senator District #27

The problem with her running as a State Senator is that she’ll be facing long time incumbent, Eddie Lucio Jr who’s had almost 30 years of experience being a State Senator, an established professional, beloved by almost the entire community, it’s almost as if Tijerina is trying to blatantly humiliate herself, I don’t know what her plan is but she has 0% chance against somebody like Lucio.   District #27 encompasses the entirety of Cameron County, Willacy County, Kenedy County, Kleberg County, and parts of Hidalgo County.   She has a better chance being struck by lightning and winning the lottery than going up against Eddie Lucio Jr.   I try to give her the benefit of the doubt that she’s not crazy but when she does stuff like this, that hope goes away.  She still hasn’t decide if she’s running for Sheriff, but we’re waiting !!!
