Life behind Facebook Jail.

Today I met up with my Willacy Co.  friend Ofelia Moreno (La Doña) at Denny’s.  I had eaten earlier in the morning from the McDonalds drive thru since I go into work at 5am and had a coffee instead of my usual Grand Slam with pancakes.   We talked on a variety of subjects from local politics, coronavirus, and while talking about random things on Facebook, it just so happens that we’re both in Facebook Jail.   I asked Ofelia what she did to land her in jail, she told me that the urracas reported some old posts where she had a couple of badwords and as for me, I’ve mentioned that right before Fangz Supertuesday, I had joked around by posting “I need some strippers for our event” and that right after that, I got hit with a 30 day warning.

When Myspace existed, the reason it became very popular was because by adding a few lines of HTML code, you could express your way in different ways like adding music, pictures, videos, the way your profile looked and of course your top 8 friends list.  Facebook came in and slowly took over and killed Myspace.  Despite not being able to customize your profile on Facebook like that of Myspace, it became very easy to publish posts in real time and express your thoughts and interact with other people out there.   Why has Facebook all of a sudden taken the ability away to stop expressing yourself?  Why can’t you tell someone to fuck off?  Why can’t I post jokingly that I need some fucking strippers, and even if I wasn’t joking, why can’t I have some damn strippers? There’s thousand of strip clubs out there with facebook pages and facebook is totally fine with that, it doesn’t make any sense.

I truly believe that the reason for all this censorship is because Mark Zuckerberg is taking out his anger on the rest of us, ever since he was taken to federal court, and President Trump going after him and other social media platforms, the things that get you in Facebook Jail is damn ridiculous.   Facebook was a great place to come and chill but it’s very apparent that it no longer is that place we have all came to love and enjoy.   They are of course other social media platforms out there,  like Instagram (owned by Facebook), Twitter, Tiktok, Snapchat, and a new social site called Parler which you can use but all in all, they are still ruled by rules and regulations set by those social media providers.   Being blocked on Facebook of course hasn’t been the end of the world, I’ve taken this time to research other things out there, how to make this site better for everyone and that people can share their opinion without the fear of being blocked.  As long as you’re not threatening to kill someone, then you should be able to post/ comment what you want.

I want to thank all official site supporters and top fans for hanging tight while I serve my facebook sentence.   I miss being able to talk to everyone freely.  Hopefully in the next few months I have the nomorecheezmeh phone app up and running so that we can all enjoy being on nomorecheezmeh like we have.

Have you been in Facebook jail? And if so, why?
