Why does the administrator approve child porn on flea market pages.

When you run a facebook group, you typically start one because you want to connect with specific sets of people, like family, teammates or coworkers or have a page where people can buy/sell. Facebook groups are dedicated spaces where you can share updates, photos or documents and message other group members.  As an administrator you usually put a specific set of rules which can vary from page to page but some are pretty universal such as no spamming, putting content that has nothing to do with the group,  and most importantly not allow any type of sexual publications especially when it has to do with children.

As an administrator to different groups, I know the time and effort it takes to manage a group properly and for it to be successful. If you have a large group where you have literally thousands of members, for one to manage the group entirely, it is a lot of work as this would require you being on facebook practically all day, but this is why groups allow multiple administrators to manage a group or page so that it can be ran successfully.

There is a group on Facebook called “La Pulga Online Brownsville” which was founded and managed by Humberto “Tito” Sagahon.   The page has grown from just a handful of followers to over 80,000 in a 2 year span.  While the page originally started as a place to buy and sell things, the page has lost hundreds of followers daily by people posting spam and memes. The page has spiraled out of control that now if you happen to be following the page, you may get feeds on your wall of sexual explicit images and worse, sometimes child porn.  Now I don’t know about you guys, but I find these images disturbing because I wasn’t looking for them in the first place and a lot of times my son comes up to me when I’m using the computer and if these images happen to come out randomly while he happens to be with me, then I have a lot of explaining to do and I don’t think this needs to happen if the administrator actually did something about it.

So why does the administrator allow porn?  Well to be honest, he doesn’t really care what happens on his page because while people are putting porn, he has a different agenda such as putting useless posts.  Examples can be seen below.

While the administrator could of done something about this post, he just posts more spam on his page, ignoring the complaints of the members of the group, he just posts more spam on his page. The pictures below are an example of daily occurrences where porn is being put up and all he does is spam.

I have received a lot backlash today for voicing my opinion on this pulga page about porn being allowed and the administrator doing nothing about it that he decided to block me.  If people want to label me as the bad guy for trying to do the right thing, then so be it.
