Starwars Episode 7, review

I didn’t get a chance to write my review last night because I was busy enjoying the movie and afterwards went to eat with my wife.    Finally had a few moments to sit down in front of the computer and type away.

If you’re a fan of the Starwars franchise then you know in the end of the Part 6, The Return of the Jedi,  Luke Skywalker defeats Darth Vader (his father Anakin Skywalker) but the Emperor, Darth Sideous (Senator Palpatine) attacks Luke to the point of almost killing him, Darth Vader hears the cries of his son and kills the emperor by throwing him over the balcony.  Darth Vader removes his mystical mask and tells his son he wants to see him one last time through his own eyes knowing he was going to die himself.  Luke then burns his father’s body everyone rejoices by celebrating.

Me and my wife at the premier.

With not knowing exactly what is going to happen you’re on the edge of your seat at all times paying attention to details.   We bought a large popcorn and it was gone in a matter of minutes, my wife tells me “Go get the free refill” and of course me being a movie buff I had to tell her that I wasn’t going to avoid missing out on any action, finally in a small scene I went to get it 😀    Some new characters are introduced such as Kylo Ren the new villain who happens to be the grandson of Darth Vader (Han Solo and Princess Leah son) and wears a pretty cool mask himself and a badass lightsaber,  Poe Dameron a X-Wing Fighter Pilot who apparently is one of the best pilots in the resistance,  Finn who is originally a Storm Trooper but abandons the bad guys, and Rey who is a young girl that sells junk parts.  The original cast such as Han Solo, Princess Leah, Chewbacca, C3PO, R2D2, and Luke Skywalker also make important appearances.  I wasn’t sure how Disney was going to handle the movie since they bought the rights to Starwars back in 2012 but they did a good job and keeping everything intact as it should.  I’m glad I was able to see this film and recommend it to everyone. If you haven’t watched any of the previous films, rent the films or stream it online and watch it because it’s a must.  I give this movie a straight up 5 without thinking about it.

Watch it now!
