International Childhood Cancer Day

A lot of you may not know that today is International Childhood Cancer Day.  Yesterday we celebrated love and friendship and many of us are blessed with healthy kids, but on the other side of the coin, not all kids can run, laugh, and think about their future.  They can only think about waking up and living to see another day, and it’s really sad how we can be so superficial with material things and our appearances when these little heroes have demonstrated that little things like the sun, a smile, the air,  love, are really the most important things in life.  Can we give love to others? A lot of programs where we can help would be like the famous St. Jude Children’s Hospital and I’ll be honest, when I’m watching TV and those little kids with cancer are on the commercials, I end up changing the channel, because I feel bad those children going through that. So what I’m going to do this year is make a pledge and donate some money to St. Jude’s and even if it’s not month to month, any donation is worth helping and if it helps someway or another, I’ll be glad to help.
