Hotel Colonial

A lot of the younger generation in our city may not know a lot of the history of downtown and as our city grows further north passing Alton Gloor the historic district where the city was born is neglected. I want to share a little bit of history about the Hotel Colonial on E. Levee St near the Gateway Intl. Bridge. The hotel was built originally in 1915 and has been bought and sold many times since then exchanging the hands of many different owners. The building is pretty much the same as it once did when it opened. A lot of people have mentioned that it is haunted and that they have seen an infant roaming around and strange cries. Some even have said that they have felt hands underneath their sheets. There is a room particular, #101 that many have claimed is the most haunted room in the whole hotel for reasons unknown. Many years ago I had booked a room and stayed in this hotel and I can honestly say there is a eerie feeling when you stay there. Anyone ever have stayed in hotel? Did you see or hear anything? Would you stay in room #101?
Let me know your story.
